Homework: Day 5 [ The Amazing Heart ]

Today we learned a lot more about the heart. Did you know that there are two types of circulation? Yep, that’s what I said. They are called the Systemic Circulation and Pulmonary Circulation; you may have guessed that the systemic circulation has to do with the whole body and the pulmonary circulation has to do with the lungs.

Systemic Circulation pumps blood to the whole body, it is the distribution network for blood, oxygen, and other important things that your body needs. Pulmonary Circulation is where de-oxygenated blood goes to the lungs to become oxygenated. The gas exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide happens in the capillaries. All of this is happening right now! Every breathe you take, all of this is happening!
